Make People to Click Your Ads

I just read a report on this guy who is about to make USD $1 million in Google AdSense income next year and he recommends:

  1. Taking out the border of your ads
  2. Make the links the same colour of your web site’s link colour

As you can see I have changed links in my AdSense ads to orange to match my site’s design. I have already removed the default border colours by making it look the same as the background colour of my page. Read the rest of this entry »

From $200 a day to $3000 with Google Adsense…

Alright, I realize that we’re a bit late reporting this story, but I just found this great Google case study. A company, WebLogs, Inc. is looking to hit $1 million in just adsense revenue alone! WebLogs, Inc. is a collection of over 100 independent bloggers who post over 1000 messages a week in over 75 blogs.

The company CEO discusses how when they initially launched adsense on their blogs they were only making close to $6000 a month and they were happy that it would cover some bills.

However, they then started testing different layouts, colors, placements and number of ads and quickly realized the HUGE potential in the adsense revenue.

Do You Accept Advertising?

…maybe you should start if you are not already!

A study done by The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and PricewaterhouseCoopers revealed that online Online advertising revenues are up 26% this year’s 2nd quarter compared to last year, nearing $2.9 billion! The total for the first half of 2005 was already $5.8 billion.

It seems that companies are starting to drastically shift their marketing budgets to the internet, seeing a better ROI ROI and more “bang for their buck.”

I would say that about 90% of the affiliate Affiliate websites I review have “dead real estate” that they could easily be making money on by selling ad space. Links, banners, buttons, etc… that could be worth tens, hundreds and even thousands of dollars (given your traffic).

What kind of ads? Well if you don’t feel like going through the hassle of selling ads, then about just Google Adsense! Although let me say from personal experience that I have just recently experimented with selling ad space and have found that “niche” incredibly rewarding!

If you havn’t yet ever thought about selling ad space, it looks like the best time to start thinking about it.
